Hello, My name is Alexis Rodriguez. I have been a Denver Public Schools teacher since 2008, with all but one of those years in a Lower Elementary Montessori classroom. I am a Colorado native and went to several DPS schools during my educational experience. I graduated from MSU in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science with an emphasis in Elementary Education. I graduated from Montessori Education Center of the Rockies in 2008. In 2014 I graduated from UCD with a Master’s Degree in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education. I also received my certificate in Guided Reading Plus that year. In the early spring of 2022 I received my certification in Orton Gilliningham phonics instruction.
I am happily married to the love of my life, Mr. Joshua Rodriguez, who is also a DPS teacher of 4th and 5th grade students at Lena Archuleta, and we are blessed to have 4 children, the youngest, Victoria, attends Garden Place in Ms. Kaitlyn’s room . We are a family who is committed to and deeply rooted in our love for Jesus Christ.
I am very excited to be a part of the Garden Place community and look forward to getting to know you all and building lasting relationships.
