My name is Patricia, I am from Mérida, Spain. I am married and have an amazing son named Alexander. I went to college in Salamanca, Spain, which is where I got my elementary teaching degree and began my teaching career working as a bilingual teacher in Madrid. I moved to the United States in 2008 to learn, have new experiences and grow personally and professionally. I worked at an international school here in Denver as a Spanish immersion teacher working with different levels for 12 years. As a teacher, I believe in international, diverse, multicultural and multilingual education that brings us together as teachers, students and community in global minded schools, which is what brought me to DPS. I was so fortunate to find Garden Place Academy where I was very welcomed in 2020. I love working in an incredible community for students, families and all the incredible staff at Garden Place that support us deeply. I am very happy for this opportunity to keep showing my students anything is possible if you work hard, keep trying even if you fail, learn from mistakes and the most important thing is to believe in yourself. I want to help my students to feel unique and special, to ignite their passion for learning and enjoy the journey here at Garden Place. In my free time I love spending time with my family and friends, traveling and discovering new places and cultures. I also love writing, cooking and enjoying life. I am so excited to be here at Garden Place Academy and with you all!
