Ryan Moore
ELA-E-S 5th Grade Teacher

My name is Ryan Moore and this is my fifteenth year teaching at Garden Place. Most of those years I have taught second grade ELA-S, but I recently changed to fifth grade, which has been a fun way to learn new things and get to teach my beloved students a second time! I love our community and feel that it is my second home. I am a Denver native and a graduate of Colorado State University, Metro State, and the University of Colorado Denver. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish Language and Literature and a Master’s Degree in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education. This is my ninth year as a Senior Team Lead, which means that I teach literacy for half of the day, and during the other half of the day I observe, coach, and evaluate a team of wonderful Garden Place teachers. I am passionate about providing culturally relevant and engaging instruction and addressing children’s social emotional needs along with the academic. I believe that education is a political act and a key way to achieving social equity. Power to the people! Being a part of the Garden Place community has been one of the greatest honors of my life!
