Garden Place Mission Statement: We have a commitment to excellence in academic achievement and collegiality, while moving forward with positive change, optimism and determination.
Achievement: Garden Place has exceeded district expectations for three years running, making it one of the most improved and top-performing schools in Denver. Garden Place ranked in the top 15 most improved schools on the statewide CSAP exam for the 2009-2010 school year. It is one of only five schools in the district to have moved from “red” to “green” designation, showing that the school now meets all expectations set forth by the district. Garden Place was the only school in our region to make such dramatic gains in just two years. This is just one factor that highlights teachers’ ongoing commitment to improve Garden Place. The school boasts a dedicated staff that works well past the end of the day. Staff members work earnestly to make sure every student receives individualized instruction. Teachers follow a teaching—learning cycle at Garden Place that involves ongoing planning, teaching and assessing to continually meet our students’ needs.
